This the best camping so far Dale,Mark,Bobby are the coolest ???? ppl we met. This is the place I'm moving to
Beautiful gem with so much potential. The new owners are super accommodating and are really bringing this place up to the next level. At my time of posting its got everything that you'd need, and I look forward to the additions to come. Will definitely find my way back here.
Its is quiet, plan appropriately as you are about 10 miles from town and that trip is slow due to the winding roads. We hauled a 38 foot camper out there and back it wasn't terrible. Road isn't terribly narrow, but not a lot of shoulder in many spots either. Campground is clean, we didn't use the restrooms as we are self contained and had full hookup. If you are looking for privacy this is not the Campground for you. Sites are dirt so if it rains you are dealing with mud. Owners are nice as I had some things shipped to the Campground prior to our arrival as we were doing a 2 week tour around 4 states. Price is reasonable, during our stay is was around $43 a night (in early March). There are several permanent residents here, most of them are down by the lake. I gave 4 stars only because of how far we were from town. It is close to Hobbs State Park which is beautiful. Lots of hiking, biking trails within about 6 miles.
It's a quiet little place off in middle of no where.
Our favorite fall location! This is our second year coming here and we always love it! The owners are extremely nice and keep the grounds clean and beautiful. The hikes are fantastic and we will always come back!
Couldn't ask for a better place!
Really friendly office/maintenance staff! Stayed three months in an rv spot because of how peaceful it was. Pool was always super clean. The walk down to the lake is hilly, but not bad.
Older park. Has full hook ups. Doesn't have lake views from the RV sites. Beautiful view of the lake from the overlook located at the end of the RV sites.
The owner of this camp ground is amazing. I stayed recently for a couple days and had a kind of rough time with the person I was staying with. The owner and her staff were so friendly to me. Im grateful they were so understanding and helpful. They really work hard keeping the campgrounds clean and safe for everyone and care about thier guests and the appearance of the grounds..beautiful scenary wish I could of stayed longer.
It was great. My kids loved it.
Very fair priced! Fun place to pitch a tent and relax in the lake!! My kids loved it also!
Nice place to swim. Good spot for camping and BBQ. I will go back for sure !
Loved it!
Quiet calm and Serene, Lake access close by. Management is very helpful and pleasant. Several spots to please almost any camper. Mountainside or Prairie. With new pavement going into their facility.
Beautiful area in great spot
Very PEACEFUL & FRIENDLY PLACE. Owners are very accommodating and very friendly. They have over 100 RV spaced, several cabins and lots of campsites. Plus it's right on Beaver lake. They have kayak, boat rentals a floating dock and swimming platform. They're adding new things all the time. They've only had the place a couple of years (3) but there has been major upgrades since they became owners
Believe me it's worth the trip.
Nice place to camp
It was amazing! Really sweet staff!
Loved this place! Everyone was nice and polite.
What an in expected surprise. Thank you.
Friendly out of the way. But close to town.
The cabins were great. They are remodeling them so they are only getting better. The camp grounds were clean. The boat dock with kayak rentals were great. The small store they have is reasonably priced for anything you forgot to pack. If you are camping or in a rustic cottage there are clean flush toilets and clean hot showers. My wife and I will be back and will bring our friends.
Good place and the store there has plenty of merchandise there to where you don't have to run into town to get something like tackle common everyday essentials even horseradish.
Love the staff always have a amazing time love the pool
I love this place, our whole family comes every where multiple times. And the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars (wish I could do 4.5) is cause there isn't nearly enough parking by the docks.
Regardless, the owners are so sweet, and everyone I have met that camps there are nice as well. There is also a pool opens around "9:30am"-8pm. There is showers and bathrooms. It's a great place. Definitely recommended!!
It was fun people were sketch
Seemed like a nice place from the tour we took. We ended up not staying there due the fact we wanted some place close to the water.
My fiance along with our dog stayed there almost a full week and it was pretty chill honestly. Even though as much as we wanted to stay at the water/electric site... but it was way too much of a squeeze between two other campers. It was a tad bit better tho that we stayed at the primitive site ooooother than the relentless ticks . Spent hours pulling ticks off ourselves and the dog lol The ladies who run the campground really are the best though. They helped us with quite a lot, definitely much appreciated mind you being from out of state. I can't wait to go back and hopefully the new renovation amps the look and feel of this lil Hide-A-Way
Peaceful relaxing
Nice camping, has a pool not right on the water but it is right around the corner.
My Mom and I took the kids to this campground and we all loved it. Kids were between 12 and 15. Kids had the best of both worlds actually. We camped primitive and we very short walking distance to the dock for the kids to jump off while us ladies soaked up the sun and then just a shirt drive back up top the the inground pool !
All around very great place. Ladies up at the front counter were very friendly and didn't skimp out on any info....like the raccoons lol. It was very exciting. We will b going back to Hideaway ! Thx Sue and DWayne for the invite !
Great owners that really care about making the "Lake experience" great! Cant wait to see the changes coming in the future.
Plenty of space here. It is quiet. The people running it are really nice & helpful. They have a very nice nature trail & a boat/swim dock.
This place is amazing! My wife and I rented an awesome primitive camping area, it was simple, clean, and easy to find. The swimming pool was beyond refreshing, then movie night came after and capped the night well. The store is cute and the owners are the nicest people ever!!! Thank you so much!! You've got to try this place!!! There aren't enough words to describe how well this place left a mark on my family.
Easy place to park large RV's, not many spots so call ahead for availability. Kinda pricey for no water front view of Beaver Lake but close. People working the park are very nice.
Hey friends and fellow campers! Let me tell you how amazing of a time my girlfriend and I had here. Amazing staff! Their extremely courteous and kind. The bathrooms and showers were kept up with very well. And if there was a problem, I could guarantee the owners will come to help almost instantly. We will be coming back for many years to come. Keep up your amazing work!!
I am a travel nurse and pulled in here 3/4/19-11/9/19. It was a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet. Extremely nice owners.
Took my youngest son on a camping trip and Razorback football game weekend. We had a great time. The area for fishing isn't very good unfortunately but we still had a blast.
Great will go back love the view cold to go camping but had fun anyway lol
It's a great place to go the people are very nice
It's a beautiful place!
I absolutely love this place! I travel for my job and spent a entire year at this campground away from my family. My wife came to visit me when she could. I felt very secure and very at home. I would definitely camp here again anytime! Tim.
100% recommend. Really nice owners and the camper spots were great. We will be returning all summer.
Very nice folks run this cool little campground.
Awesome
Great little spot for our first outing in our camper. Got checked in and got to the site and found out we brought everything but cooking utensils. The store at the campground was sold out so the owners let us borrow one of their personal spatulas so we could cook dinner over the weekend. There are a LOT of people who camp there often and there was a family reunion atmosphere the whole time we were there. Will definitely camp there again after we explore some more. Excellent customer service and a friendly atmosphere!
Family run. They are super helpful and friendly. Can rent kayak canoe or Lilly pad to go on the lake. So convenient with a beautiful lake just a short walk from cabin.
My stay here with my family was AMAZING! They have some of the coolest activities! If your a kid like me, you get to have fun swimming AND playing at great sized park. If your an adult and what a relaxing vacation away from civilization or some fun fishing or swimming at the lake, then this is the spot for you!
We are quickly becoming regulars here. Years ago, this was where I went when everywhere else was booked. We now only camp somewhere else when Hide-a-Way is booked. Ive learned that they have new owners, and its insanely obvious. Its clean, RV pads are level, and weve always received full hook-ups. Prices in the store are actually fair, unlike everywhere else. The pool is awesome. Theres a shallower end for our youngers, and a deep end for our olders. Im not sure if its the owners that weve dealt with the past few visits, but wow! They truly care about your stay and familys safety. This past visit, we had an issue with the site that we reserved. The staff went above and behind to make it right, which really meant something since we stayed at a business right next to them last summer and had a similar issue, and they sent us away even though we already paid.
As tough as this year has been, its nice to feel like we received so much more than we paid for!
Thanks for the very well needed relaxation!
Awesome place and plenty of sites and great staff definitely be planning g on coming g back
It was really relaxing
Great facility. Pool, seperate showers, Great trailer access and hook up electric, sewer and water. I would recommend this camp site.
I have been going here since I was little with my Dad. Now my Dad and I take are family here with my husband and kids. We love this Campsite. They have new owners and have plans to make the place even more Great. The owners are Awesome and can tell they really care about the place. They are very friendly and will help in a way they can. They are very sweet people. I will be definitely be coming back with my family.
Just you and your loved ones OH and your FER BABYS.
Very good and friendly management. Quaint little campground very close to beaver lake
Nice place! Everyone seem to really enjoy themselves! One thing the picnic tables are in dire need of replacing!
My husband and I actually stayed here two years ago. We travelled from Central CA to Hideaway Campground. My hubby booked our stay and it went very well. We were camping off season (end of October). We were originally the only campers. The owners were super friendly and personable. We have 3 mini weenie dogs and had no problems! We even had our chikdren, mother in law, and our grandchildren come from the Paris area to spend time and camp with us. Well, we had initialky rented a small cabin for the kids n grandkids... And itcwas a little too small for all of them. They ended up upgrading to bigger cabins! The owners were very agreeable...friendly.... AND PATIENT!!!
Every time we saw the owners drive by, they waved and smiled! They had us park our huge trailer anywhere we wanted! The pool was drained due to the season. Campground was clean. It was also my understanding that the owners had just recently purchased??.The pavilion was incredible for our big family to have a few meals in. It has lights and electricity! Covered completely To protect you from the torrential downpours Arkansas tends to have! The rates were very reasonable! And I have to say I am not one to use public facilities for showering or toileting no matter what kind of resort or campground we are at. I only use the restroom and shower in our RV. My shower my germs! LOL However, I did end up using their bathroom and I saw how immaculately clean it was. I then showered and had a wonderful shower in a very clean bathroom! I was very impressed! I saw that the owners went in frequently to check and make sure that they were clean!
I have their address actually hanging on our refrigerator here in Fresno California. We have a beautiful home that we had built; however both of us have undergone and are going through a lot of medical problems. Including myself having a brain tumor and getting it removed And having surgery scheduled But just told today its going to be rescheduled AGAIN!!!!!....This hospital is cancelling All surgeries that are requiring overnight stays because they have 200 beds full with active COVID-19 patients at this one hospital! ....
Our hopes are to be able to move to Arkansas soon. We do know that we have to figure out income as my husband has been at his place of employment for 33 years! Ive been a nurse for 28 years but I am in forced retirement!
However If we were to go stay long term (rates were reasonable!)......
Hey owners Do you need somebody to direct or help in anyway with fixing things or doing things around there? Assisting campers??? I can offer my husband!! He is hardworking and gives his all! He is professional but friendly! He is the Director where he is employed and the employees really show admiration and respect towards Ken! They are able to talk to him about anything. He listens and is fair in his decisions. I am very versed at answering telephones scheduling, making people happy by addressing their concerns with professionalism and kindness; quickly resolving any issues they may have and with a smile Hubby is also very good in anything he does! We just need a source of income and Medical : in order to get moved! He also teaches the Word of God to whomever inquires.....has questions!!!
Im pretty sure no one is reading this far in my review!!! Lol at least I use that some of my words today! Hubby is working all the time so have the three mini weenies to talk to and theyre all asleep right now! God bless you and no matter what youre going through in life right now I hope you know that God sees you and knows what youre going through and cares about you! Hell meet you right where you are!
Best burgers in Arkansas !!!!!!
We are so happy to have found this park. The family that owns it are awesome, super friendly and very helpful. The park itself is clean and quiet with a great pool.
The rustic camping is great for getting away. Very close to lake and dock
We were schedule to stay there for one week, but we had problems with our camper. So one week turned into three weeks while we trying to repair a water damage bunkhouse. Even though we were loud and frustrating, the staff was very friendly, especially the owners. The pool is nice and bathroom and laundry were Hospital. Thank you again Beaver Lake Hideaway for helping us through a rough patch.
Pros & Cons: Staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything you need located on site. There is a pool, playground, laundry showers and basic general store. Major cell provider work at camp. Cons: camps site super close together with limited parking. Lake swimming very constrictive off doc or very limited shore. In addition it is a walk, especially if there is more than 5 cars. Had no cell service on dock with T-Mobile, clear AT&T and Verizon. Pool hours 10-7.
What a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Stayed in a primitive site and it was beautiful and right by their dock. Rented the canoe twice. Beaver Lake is beautiful. Jumped off cliffs and swam. Highly recommended.
Nice, quiet campsite off the beaten path. Showers and electrical hookups available.
Nice facility with bathrooms, laundry and showers. Pretty area. Lots of trees and a good lake view.
Just Awesome! Great camp sites. Truly a hideaway
Awesome. Beautiful place and location. Very clean.
We spent two days docking our 30ft trailer at the 30a spots in not-so-nice weather. My interactions with the staff all the way from the first phone call to two visits at the office were very pleasant. We came on off-nights, and the few neighbors we encountered were all genuinely nice, sharing their camp fire and stories. I saw a diverse mix from bohemian trailers to the half-million-dollar landyachts. The RV spots are on top of a hill surrounded by trees, to the dock on the lake it's a half-mile trail.
Beautiful and peaceful
Great location and service!!!!!! Highly recommend.
We stayed during the week, was quiet and clean. Staff was super nice. Showers were a tad creepy but was happy they had them. We will be back!
Clean but not very hospitable as far as traveling to the lake and back to the campsite they charge for absolutely everything so bring a pocket full of cash but otherwise it was beautiful and me and my family had a wonderful time.

We’ve been staying here off and on for about 5 or 6 years now!! Great campground owned/operated by great folks!!! We asked about canoe rental once, and he told us to just take his personal canoe.... they don’t get much nicer than this couple!!!

Took my youngest son on a camping trip and Razorback football game weekend. We had a great time. The area for fishing isn't very good unfortunately but we still had a blast.
Nice park, sells ice and has a playground with several good RV spots and cute cabins n tinyhouses they built. Pool and patron building with amenities. Good price, location. Friendly staff. Dogs allowed ?
My husband and I relocated to Arkansas from Texas about a year ago and we have settled in here at Beaver Lake Hideaway. We absolutely love being here. The owners and their staff have made us feel so welcomed. They have a great pool for the summer n my 4 year old loves the little park they have here. Our older children and their family's have visited and stayed in their cabins and they had such a great time. I recommend this park to anyone who is passing through or to any families who are looking for a great spot to feel at home.

This place is relaxing, beautiful and peaceful campground. The owners are nice and very helpful. The view of the lake is amazing I would recommend staying here to anybody.
We have stayed at the Beaver Lake Hide-A-Way a few times, for months at a time when we were doing the full-time nomad/RV life.
The owners are wonderful. The views are beautiful. They're pet-friendly and also have items available in the store in case you need something and don't want to drive to town. The only reason I don't give five stars is the grounds are a bit dated. The playground, the community center and the additional bathrooms are in need of some TLC. As well, while we were there it took several cycles through the dryer for our clothes to actually dry. We ended up taking our laundry to the fluff and fold for them to do.
Still, the surroundings are beautiful. Hubs would walk down the hill with Bella Boo (our dog) and catch fish in the lake for dinner. The walking paths are lovely and sitting at the picnic tables overlooking the water as the sun went down was wonderful.
The monthly rate is very, VERY good. If anyone were to ask, I'd definitely recommend a stay.
Tip: They have full hook-ups, back-in, pull-through, tent sites and cabins onsite. Showers and bathrooms, too. There is also a pool that opens during late spring/summer season. The closest "convenience" store is a Dollar General 10.5 miles away. There is a deli a bit closer with convenience items, but it isn't open as late.
Gem of a place with a lookout point with one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. Beaver lake is beyond gorgeous. The family that owns the campground are wonderful and helpful. Relaxing, clean, beautiful campground, perfect for anyone. Would highly recommend!
I spent some time at this campground recently and thoroughly loved it! The new owners, Mark and Dale Lina Martyn plus their kids, have many renovations and upgrades planned. If the cabin I stayed in is any indication of the level of their plans, you will have an amazing time there! The cabin was comfortable and very clean. The kitchenette was also very clean. The cooking utensils were sparkling! You can tell the pride in ownership by the care and maintenance of the campground.
They have pull through and back in sites with 30 and 50 amps sites with full hookups!
The views from the platform and boat dock areas are not to be missed. The views from your jet ski and boats are definitely not to be missed! Beaver Lake is large, beautiful, and very clear while refreshing to have a swim! You may even see a bald eagle or two checking out the area!
The tent area is on the lower grounds closer to the lake! A major plus is not having a mosquito problem anywhere! Especially close to the lake!
The pool is clear and offers a place for the family to enjoy and relax after your day around the area.
The general store is always well stocked for anything you may have left behind that you need or want.
They are Veteran friendly! If you need anything special, don't hesitate to ask for it.
It is a quiet place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
The owners are always ready to help! I highly recommend this campground to anyone!
It's a great place to go camping. I was there a few months ago and I had a good time, explored the whole place without any ticks or chiggers on me. I have no idea what they were talking about.
This place was so nice and peaceful beautiful place to go. My family and I have had the best time here. So my activity’s for a family to do here. There is fishing and swimming at the lake, they also have a pool, and a playground with a pavilion where you can shoot some hoops and even a Bbq pit there you can use. They had restrooms with hot showers and they kept them clean and stocked well. They even had a laundry room which was definitely needed on this trip!! Loved the camp store so many choices for my forgetful items. They even had a movie night for the kids on Saturday and Sunday! The staff and new owners were super nice and helpful they went out of there way to accommodate all of our needs. We loved this place and will definitely be back!! 10 stars ?? in my books!
Amazing place the owners was awesome they are so nice and sweet they make it feel like home can't wait to come back!
We stayed here overnight and it was lovely. Quiet, and very nice folks in the office. Of course, it didn't hurt that the weather is perfect!! Will definitely come back.
Awesome place and awesome people our new spot simply beautiful...
Nice size sites that are mostly back in. Clean.
Beautiful place, everyone is real friendly. We will definitely go back.
Beautiful place amazing staff. Under new ownership and they are doing an amazing job. They have so much planned right of the lake boat dock and slip. RV parking, primitive camping, and camping with electricity. Just a great quiet place to enjoy nature. They have a little store for you camping needs prices are great. Have stayed many times and will continue to return.
We cannot say enough about this place, we absolutely love staying here. It is very easy to make reservations and communicate with Dale via website and email. The cabins are clean; the beds are WONDERFUL; kitchen has all that we needed and more. We made use of and enjoyed the cabin deck and picnic table as well as the fire ring for 'smores and coffee at night. The view is spectacular. We also walked around the area and the fellow campers were friendly and accommodating. We have stayed twice and have already made reservations for a winter stay. We look foward to all the plans that the Martyn's have for this gem in the mountain. Thank you for such enjoyable stays.
Awesome place. Great new owners who really care and do everything they can to make your stay a good one. They have big plans for the place so I am excited to say we will be going back for years to come. If you want recipe for a good brisket stop in the office and mention it and they will give you the full run down Texas style.
I want to say this is the most friendly campground we have been to. We were new to the area and the owners made us feel welcome! We were given great suggestions on attractions in the area and were treated like we are family. Thanks Dale, Marc and Family for making our visit such a great experience!!
Fantastic place for camping. The owners made us feel like we were regulars. Can't wait to go back on the summer.
